Prayers
A queen’s quiet power behind closed eyes and folded hands
I don’t hold court. But I do light a lamp
Every morning, before the world awakes,
I stand before a simple altar—no gold, no grandeur—just a diya, a tulsi leaf, and a whisper of hope
And in that moment,
what I speak is not a request
It is a decree
Because when a homemaker prays, she isn’t begging—she’s building
With every “Raksha karo,” she sets a boundary of protection
With every “Dhanyavad,” she waters the roots of her gratitude
With every “Shanti kavach,” she brings peace into rooms that haven’t even seen the sunrise

My prayers shape the atmosphere of this home
Not just for today, but for years to come
I’ve whispered strength into the hands of my child
I’ve woven patience into my husband’s path
I’ve folded grace and blessings into the towels, the tiffins, the temple floor
No one may hear it
But the universe listens
The world sees me doing “nothing.”
Just sitting. Just chanting. Just lighting agarbatti
But they don’t see what I’m holding:
A relationship to build
A responsibility to hold
A silent storm in my own heart
And still, I speak the words: “Let there be light.”
This is not religion. This is sovereignty
I may not draft laws or run meetings,
but I declare my family blessed
I ordain peace into the hallway
I sign every corner of this house with invisible protection
**You see a woman in a saree, eyes closed
I see a queen issuing divine orders.**
I see a goddess tending to her miniature universe
I see a mother invoking the oldest kind of strength—the kind that requires no volume, only vibrations
So no, my prayers are not casual
They are coded messages to the sacred
They are soft spells of safety
They are the energy blueprint of this home
And when I fold my hands each morning, I remember
I am not hoping
I am declaring
And in my declaration, this entire home rises
