Queen
Episode 2: How I Turn Mundane Tasks into Mindful Moments
“If I am going to do it every day, I might as well do it with a little magic.”
Let’s be very honest — homemaking can sometimes feel like a loop of laundry, utensils, and “What to cook next?”
But over the time, I’ve discovered something: the same routine tasks can become rituals… if done with presence and mindfulness
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. Here’s how I bring mindfulness into my most mundane chores and how you can do it too
🫧 1. Washing Vessels like a queen = Washing Worries
Yes, I said it. When my hands are in warm and soapy water, I allow my mind to be still
I watch the soap bubbles catch the morning light. I feel the warmth against my palms
I remind myself, “Just like I’m washing away this grease, I am also letting go of the heaviness of yesterday. my mind and soul attaining peace and clarity”
Sometimes I even hum a bhajan or chants. Believe it or not, my sink has heard more mantras than my phone’s playlist😅

🧺 2. Folding Clothes like a queen = Folding Peace
Earlier, folding laundry felt like punishment. Now, I use it as a mini retreat
I do it slowly. With each fold, I whisper a blessing:
For my husband’s shirt – May your day be calm
For my child’s kurta – May you be joyful and safe
For my own dress – May I walk with grace today
In those 10 minutes, I am not just folding clothes. I am wrapping love

🪟 3. Sweeping like a queen = Scripting Gratitude
As I sweep, I mentally list three things I’m grateful for
Instead of thinking “Why is this house never clean?” I shift to “I’m grateful this house exists… I’m grateful I have strength to clean it… I’m grateful my family walks these floors.”
It’s not about ignoring mess. It’s about noticing miracles within it

🍛 4. Cooking like a queen= Creating Sacred Nourishment
I start by placing a small tulsi leaf or a pinch of haldi in the rice or sabzi, and I tell myself: This is not just food this is the divine prasad
I stir with love. I taste with reverence. I offer the first thought to the ones who’ll eat — and thank Annapoorna mata for the privilege of making and serving the food
Even cutting onions feels softer when I think of it as creating nourishment, not just a chore

💡 5. How Can the queens Start:
You don’t need incense or chanting to be mindful. You just need attention
Choose one task each day to do slowly and with love
While doing it, engage your senses. What do you feel? Hear? Smell?
Add a small ritual — a prayer, a thought, or a smile
You’ll be amazed how ordinary moments turn golden
👑 Final Note:
A queen doesn’t need applause for every task
Her reward is the peace she finds in doing it with intention
So next time someone says “Oh you’re just at home all day?” — smile
You’re not just at home. You’re crafting moments of presence, patience, and power
that’s all for now friends
until next time, keep smiling
much love … stay happy … stay blessed .. always
