Oil on the Feet
Oil on the Feet
At the end of a long day, our feet carry the most stories, the steps taken, tasks done, errands run
They quietly bear our entire weight, yet we rarely pause to thank them
One simple ritual I’ve discovered is massaging a little warm oil on the soles of my feet before bed
It may sound old-fashioned, but the comfort it brings is timeless
🌿 How I Do put oil on the feet (the layman’s way)
I warm a teaspoon of sesame or coconut oil or ghee
I gently massage the oil onto the soles of my feet for a few minutes
i also gently massage my toes lovingly releasing all the tensions build up and express gratitude for helping me walk through good paths
I slip on light cotton socks for some time so the oil doesn’t stain my sheets
I lie down and sleep comes more peacefully

✨ Why I Love to put oil on the feet
My legs and feet feel relaxed
I fall asleep faster and deeper
It feels like closing the day with gratitude and calm
🌸 The Inner Lesson by putting oil on the feet – Resting the Body, Grounding the Spirit
When I massage oil into my feet, I am reminded: to rest is also a responsibility
Just as oil grounds the feet, gratitude grounds the spirit
Just as rest restores tired muscles, pausing restores tired minds
A peaceful night prepares us for a purposeful morning
This small act feels like telling myself, “You’ve done enough today. Now, let go. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”
