CONQUER FEAR THROUGH FAITH
in the book power of prayer by joseph murphy – he says FEAR is the shadow of mind held by IGNORANCE and DARKNESS
when you hold fear to the face of LIGHT and INTELLIGENCE, it won’t stand the light and it disappears
fear has 4 reasons namely along with it’s antidote
1. hatred –
misdirected love based on ignorance
2. self pity –
poisoning hopes and faith
the solution –
ANTIDOTE –
Love with god / sense of union with god to find peace / health / confidence / strength
3. old age fear –
number of years lived and nearing death
the solution
ANTIDOTE –
to feel that now is the starting wisdom, truth and beauty
4. loneliness –
lack of love in relationship, friendship and everywhere
the solution
ANTIDOTE –
falling in love with god’s companion in mind.
the companions are kindness, goodness, peace, patience, understanding, sincere interest in others
experiencing and understanding that we all have that divinity in us and see the divine in our partners and family members and pour out love, respect, faith and care
pour out god’s love in everyone around you, then you will banish loneliness immediately
your state of mind is your MASTER
have immense faith in god which is greater than FEAR

what is FEAR
fear is faith in dark shadows of mind
always believe he is within you, and always call for god’s love
elements of faith in god are love, peace, gentleness, goodness, kindness, joy, balance, tranquility and serenity
have complete trust in god completely knowing that the infinite intelligence only knows the answer to the problem
actually it is never the person who have the power but the thoughts of one’s own mind
with strong mental conviction of faith in god, you can shatter any of your mental conditions which is basically FEAR
fear is a natural human emotion and it is something that everyone experiences in their lifetime
what matters most is how you fight your fear and whether you let them Affect your life

symptoms when you feel fear
1. unhelpful thoughts –
like always contemplating something bad might happen
2. physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat, faster breathing and sweating
3. behavioral changes like trying to avoid the crowd, being afraid to leave home
There can be 2 types of fear
1. some fears are healthy that is when you see some animal or you are in a danger spot, fear helps you to take prompt action
that feeling of fear is natural and helps you keep safe
2. some fear are unhealthy and also unnecessary
example fear of meeting new people, going to a new place or trying out new things
this fear is unhealthy and it stops you from going ahead in life and explore more in life
what can fear do to us
fear can mess up with our nervous system activity in many unhealthy ways. such as mood disorders like anxiety, depression.
it may give rise to many serious mental and health conditions
types of fear
1. fear of failure –
this is one of the common fear in human society. this holds you back from achieving many things in life
2. fear of being judged –
this fear can put a person in a nutshell and keep the person away from social situations
3. fear of loss –
holds back an individual in personal and professional life.
this can create an emotion of anger which is unhealthy fear on mental and physical levels

we can overcome our fear as we turn our eyes to god who is our loving guardian

and how do we overcome our fear through god’s wisdom
1. stop fear before it attacks you
stand on guard at the entrance of our minds.
fear makes us forget god.
we forget that god cares for us. instead we focus more on the negative circumstances and expect bad things to happen
rather we should be positive and fill our heart with god’s grace and kindness in every walks of life
2. shift our focus
whenever fear creeps in, shift your focus.
keep your mind always focused on god, his verses, his teachings.
copy them on your notes, put them where you always see it or read it aloud and keep chanting it
do whatever it takes to keep god at the forefront of your thoughts
3. chose trust
if you are scared in any situation to go ahead with work, start praying for God’s help.
keep praying, affirming that god’s blessing are always with us and good will happen always
affirm and declare that you trust and he will surely help you
fear makes us forget god and his care for us.
faith focuses on his love and power
we can fight fear with faith and trust and shift our focus towards god
when we keep our thoughts fixed on god, he keeps our heart at rest in him
