the plant that the leaves are a part of is also known as the ‘ indian borage‘ which is also known as ajwain plant sometimes

the leaves of this plant are bright green in color and are broad and pulpy

the reason why these leaves are known as ajwain leaves despite being a part of a completely different plant, is that they have a smell that is similar to that of carom seeds

it can be easily grown at home or in your kitchen garden. the leaves have a number of uses and can be added to dishes of your choice to add a distinctive favor and taste to them

MY EXPERIENCE OF AJWAIN LEAVES FOR COUGH

after having gone through a cycle of fever, cold and cough and after having many medications, my cough still persisted

nothing was helping to reduce my cough and throat irritation

then i tried a syrup at home with ajwain leaves and guess what, i got completely relieved of my persistent cough

i have grown ajwain leaves in the garden and everyone can grow them easily in pots. it doesn’t require roots, one strong stem of the plant can be planted to get bushy ajwain plant

HOW I PREPARED THE AJWAIN LEAVES FOR COUGH

i took 2 to 3 ajwain leaves, washed them and placed them on a hot tawa or a pan and tossed the leaf on both sides till it becomes soft and the leaves starts to ooze water.

now take the leaves from the pan and immediately squeeze the leaves to get the liquid with your hands

you will get approximately 1 spoon of liquid. add little honey to it and your Cough syrup is ready

have this three times a day for 3 days in a gap of half an hour before and after having this syrup and you will surely get relief from all kind of throat problems like sore throat and cough

include it in your diet in any form or simply chewing a few leaves after food will go a long way in making your digestive system stronger and less prone to common issues such as indigestion and acidity

such practice will also make your immune system stronger and promote improved overall health however, do not over indulge in using the leaves.
