Let’s make green chillies achar/pickle Which can be made easily at home

mirchi achar also known as chilli pickles is a tasty and fiery condiment in indian cuisine
it is a staple in many indian households. it gives an amazing zing to the meals
so let’s go straight to the recipe
iNGREDIENTS FOR THE GREEN CHILLIES/ACHAR PICKLE
1. green chillies 100 grams (spicier ones would be tasty for the recipe)

2. mustard seed half tablespoon

3. fenugreek seeds half tablespoon

4. fennel seeds one tablespoon

5. hing one pinch

6. garlic 4 to 5 cloves thinly sliced

7. kalonji seeds 1 small teaspoon

8. vinegar 1 to 2 small teaspoon oil 3 to 4 tablespoon

9. haldi / turmeric powder half tablespoon

hOW TO MAKE THE GREEN CHILLIES ACHAR/PICKLE
1. firstly remove the tail of the green chillies, wash and dry well and then slit it lengthwise
2. dry roast mustard seeds, methi / fenugreek seeds and saunf / fennel seeds and grind it coarsely
3. fill this mixture in the slit green chillies and keep it in a bowl
4. now heat the oil to the smoking point and cool a bit.
5. then add hing and slit garlic pieces
6. add this garlic oil to the masala filled green chillies
7. to it add salt, kalonji seeds and haldi / turmeric immediately and give it a nice mix
8. now add the vinegar and mix well
9. your mirchi / chilly pickle is ready

CONCLUSION FOR THE GREEN CHILLIES ACHAR/PICKLE
if it is possible keep the pickle in the sunlight for 2 to 3 days for better taste enhancement or else just keep it outside and mix it well for 2 days and then keep in the fridge
as less oil is used so chances that the pickle may get spoilt if it is kept outside for a longer period of time
