PORTION CONTROL AND MINDFUL EATING
Want to know the EASY WAYS OF PORTION CONTROL AND MINDFUL EATING. Tips which would help you maintain you weight. Let’s find out …

PORTION CONTROL AND MINDFUL EATING are the two effective ways to maintain weight balance and sustain it for a longer period of time
PORTION CONTROL
* it is the amount of food you put on your plate
how much food you chose to eat at one time
* Whenever the food is served to you or you yourself serve your plate – see that you take a little lesser amount of food which you normally consume and stick to it.
Do not fall for that just EXTRA bite.
Be DISCIPLINED

* Take smaller dishes and spoons while eating.
One will tend to serve lesser in the plate and put smaller bites into the mouth, thus helping people from OVEREATING

* This process helps maintain and balance weight
MINDFUL EATING
* Mindful eating is based on Mindfulness.
is an intentional focus on one’s thoughts , emotions and senses in the present moment.
It is more about being AWARE in the PRESENT moment

* Eating Mindfully – use all of your physical and emotional senses to experience and enjoy the food that is served
* Savor the food to the fullest however simple it may be with Eyes, Nose, Tongue noticing the colors, smell, sound, textures and flavors of the food served in your platter

* As soon as the plate is in front of you, try leaving all the gadgets and other possible distractions aside
* prayers of BLESSINGS and THANKFULNESS should be the first thing as you sit with the plate.
Bless the plate with GRATITUDE, after all not many go to bed with full stomach

* MINDFUL EATING is maintaining an IN THE MOMENT AWARENESS of food and liquid you put into body.
involves observing how the food makes you feel and signals your body about taste, satisfaction and fullness
CHEWING THE FOOD
* Mindful eating and Portion Control leads to CHEWING the food properly.
The entire digestion process starts in your mouth through chewing
* Chewing food is the first step to digestion.
it increases the saliva production
* When you chew your food, it gets broken down into smaller pieces.
is then mixed with Saliva
* the Saliva contains Digestive Enzymes that are released and the chewed food gets mixed with possible amount of nutrients which then assists digestion

* Chewing food slowly gives the stomach enough time to signal the brain for satiety.
It’s a great tip to help you curb overeating and increase your satisfaction at meal times
* It is said to chew 32 times but practically it’s a bit difficult.
At least efforts can be taken to chew more than you normally do
* So if you sit MINDFULLY with the plate, have PORTION CONTROL awareness and CHEW your food well, honestly you won’t be able to complete the food in hand.
You would be FULL before that

* I personally have been trying to follow this routine at least one meal a day
and definitely the eating process is enjoyable without much fussing over the food served in my plate
