Why the 5 ELEMENTS PANCHATATTVA Balance Is Vital
In Ayurveda, health is defined as a state of equilibrium among these 5 ELEMENTS PANCHATATTVA within the doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha)
Imbalance leads to disease, both physical and mental
Yoga, pranayama, meditation, diet, and lifestyle choices are all tools to harmonize the five elements
🧘♀️ How to Use These 5 ELEMENTS PANCHATATTVA in Practice:
Chanting: Sit quietly, focus on the chakra or body part associated with the element, visualize the color and chant the Bija Mantra
Meditation: Imagine the color gently glowing in the relevant area of the body. Let it fill you with the quality of that element (e.g., stability for Earth, flow for Water)
Balancing: If you feel imbalanced (e.g., anxious = too much Air), meditate with the color and chant of the opposite or lacking element (Earth for grounding)

Example Visualization for Earth Element:
Sit cross-legged and spine straight
Focus on the base of the spine (Root Chakra)
Visualize a red light glowing there
Silently or aloud chant: LAM… LAM… LAM
Feel grounded, strong and supported by the earth
similarly you can repeat it with the other chakras as well
this process will help in balancing all the chakras and will help in maintaining an equilibrium in the body, mind and soul
Here’s a myth-inspired story weaving traditional motifs with the concept of chakra balancing of these 5 ELEMENTS PANCHATATTVA through beej mantras:
“Shiva and the Seven Lotus Flames”, A Mythical Tale of Chakra Awakening
Long ago, when the world was still young and the energies of creation were raw and wild, the seven guardians of life namely the Sapta Shakti , each held the essence of a divine lotus
These lotuses were not mere flowers, but luminous energy centers within the body of the cosmic being, Purusha
But over time, this balance was disturbed
Desire, fear, anger, attachment, and pride, all began to cloud the purity of the lotuses. The world began to wither, and the divine flow of life slowed
The devas were worried
They turned to Lord Shiva, the great Yogi, seated in eternal meditation on Mount Kailasha
“Awaken the lotuses once more,” they pleaded. “Bring balance back to the world.”
Shiva opened his eyes deep as the void, burning with purpose
“I shall send sound,” he said. “The seed of the cosmos lies in vibration. Let each lotus receive its beej — its seed mantra — and be restored.”
Then he summoned the primordial vibrations, one by one:
1. Muladhara – The Root (Lam)
In the cave of Earth, Ganesha, Shiva’s son, placed his palm on the root lotus and chanted:
“Lam”
A red flame bloomed. Fear turned to courage. The earth steadied

2. Svadhisthana – The Sacral (Vam)
In the ocean’s flow, Parvati, the Mother, whispered:
“Vam”
Orange light surged. Desire was purified into creativity

3. Manipura – The Navel (Ram)
On the golden plains, Surya, the Sun God, roared:
“Ram”
A solar fire burst forth. Shame melted into confidence

4. Anahata – The Heart (Yam)
In the green forest of breath, Krishna played his flute and sang:
“Yam”
Love bloomed. Grief dissolved into compassion

5. Vishuddha – The Throat (Ham)
High in the sky, Saraswati, Goddess of speech, intoned:
“Ham”
The winds danced. Silence became wisdom. Truth awakened

6. Ajna – The Third Eye (Om)
Between the brows, in the temple of mind, Shiva himself chanted:
“Om”
Indigo light lit the void. Illusion faded into insight

7. Sahasrara – The Crown (Silence)
In the space beyond sound, in infinite white light, the final lotus opened not with sound, but with silence
It was Devi, the eternal feminine, who simply smiled

The energy returned. The lotuses shone. The chakras, once imbalanced, now pulsed with harmony
And thus was born the sacred knowledge:
To awaken the divine within, chant the seed mantras, align the inner lotuses, and become whole again
Moral & Reflection of the 5 ELEMENTS PANCHATATTVA :
This myth reminds us that the chakras are not separate from the divine
They are the altars of gods and goddesses within us
Through beej mantras, we invoke them, honor them, and awaken the light of balance and bliss
