Body And Mind as the Temple and Soul
Krishna’s Cosmic Guide to Life: A Temple Maintenance Manual
Step 1: Treat Your Body Like a Divine Temple
in the bhagwad gita, krishna tells arjuna that he is really a soul, and that the body is like a garment of the soul
it’s a five-star spiritual resort! Krishna’s saying, “Treat your body like it’s the Taj Mahal and your soul is the VIP guest”
thus the body houses the soul, which is our true self, and it is in making this self or soul real that we realize our self or become self realized or a realized soul
So, here’s the deal: treat it with the reverence you’d give to a sacred site.
the soul is housed by a body and a mind, through which it is expressed or realized
the body and mind realize the soul through thoughts, actions and words that are an expression of the soul
just as the intangible mind creates intangible thoughts which are expressed through our words and writings , the soul is at a higher layer of attraction than even the mind
Feed it Well:
the first step is to take care of the body and treat it as holy.
just as one would take great pains to keep the temple clean, we have to keep the body and mind clean.
which means taking care of each part of the body with care, and avoiding damage to it or abusing it.
feeding the body with pure food that is healthy, well balanced and nutritious for the body and avoiding food or drinks or substances that cause harm to the body or make it sluggish
it means keeping the body active, strong and supple with exercise, yoga etc..
once the body is clean, nourished and well maintained, we have to take care for the mind and emotions
Think of your diet as the divine feast.
Pure, healthy food is like top-tier room service. Avoid junk food—it’s the equivalent of serving instant noodles to royalty. Keep it clean, avoid junk food like it’s a cosmic crime
Stay Active:
Your body loves a good workout.
Yoga and exercise are like the spa treatments for your temple. Keep it flexible, strong, and ready for any cosmic adventure.
it means keeping the body active, strong and supple with exercise, yoga etc
once the body is clean, nourished and well maintained, we have to take care for the mind and emotions

Step 2: Mind Maintenance: Your Inner Sanctuary
Your mind is the VIP lounge of your temple. Keep it classy!
Curate Your Thoughts: Imagine your mind as a fancy cocktail party. You wouldn’t let every random guest into the VIP section, right?
Focus on positive, uplifting thoughts. If a negative thought shows up, just say, “Sorry, you’re not on the guest list!”
It’s like the temple’s guestbook—so choose the entries wisely.
Negative thoughts are like uninvited party crashers. If they show up, just observe them, give them a polite nod, and show them the door. Don’t let them wreck the party!
food for the mind is through our thoughts and also from the senses
as the saying goes, we may not be able to control our thoughts but we can control our train of thoughts
by taking a thought, identifying with it instead of treating it merely as an external influence, getting emotionally affected by it and then performing actions under the influence of that emotion, we are feeding that thought
instead we can simply observe that thought and let it go
hence, even a negative thought or impulse will eventually subside or die down if we choose to merely observe it and not pursue it

Step 3: The Senses Are Your Temple Doormen
Control Your Inputs: Your senses are like the TV remote. Switch off the drama channels and tune into shows that inspire and uplift.
Avoid the news channels that only broadcast negativity.
What you see and hear are like the VIP guests at your mental soiree.
If you wouldn’t let a loud, obnoxious guest into your temple, don’t let negativity into your mind. Choose your sensory inputs like you’re picking the perfect playlist for a sacred festival.
the source of thought maybe from the senses such as something that we saw or heard. having had a thought, it is difficult to control it, but we can control what we see or what we hear
however, for those belief that we are, through our thoughts, actions and words have an active role to play in shaping our reality,
what we chose to focus our thoughts on shapes our reality and not what we consume from outside

Step 4: Thoughts Are Like Cosmic Seeds
Imagine thoughts as seeds—plant the good ones and watch your life grow into a lush garden of positivity. Focus on Gandhi, and you’ll be inspired by his wisdom. Focus on monkeys (not literally, just metaphorically), and guess what? Your mind goes bananas. Choose your mental seeds wisely!
according to the law of attraction, thoughts are things and our thoughts manifest in reality
the bottom line is that our thoughts are shaped by inputs from our senses. hence we have to chose these inputs wisely for they are food for the mind.

Step 5: The Temple Parts: Decor and Function
in hinduism, the body is considered a temple and a residence of the divine being
the scriptures remind us of nature and the importance of our body which is likened to a temple
the sariraka upanishad for instance tell us that the human body is a composite of various elements like earth, water, air, space and energy ( fire ) with the spirit ( soul or jiva ) being the lord of the body
since god is dwelling in our soul and also in our body, we must keep our mind and body filled up with purity and perfectness
Every part of your temple has a special role:
a.) Heart (Garbagraha):
The inner sanctum. It’s the divine core where all the good vibes hang out. Fill it with love, compassion, and affection. Think of it as your temple’s treasure vault of kindness.
b) Head (Temple Tower):
Keep your thoughts on high spiritual matters, and don’t let negativity rain on your parade. Focus on spiritual stuff and the occasional deep thought like “Why is the sky blue?”
C) Throat (Temple Conch):
Use your words wisely. Positive affirmations and compliments are your go-to.
Avoid gossip—think of it as a broken conch that only makes noise.
Use your words like a sacred bell—ring out positivity and avoid saying anything that could cause harm.
D) Eyes (Temple Lamps):
See the good in everyone and everything. Use your vision to find inspiration and avoid staring at screens that only serve up catfights and chaos.
Let them shine light on goodness and inspiration. Don’t let them be drawn to dark, negative corners.
E) Hands (Temple Pillars):
Put them to work! Help others, lend a hand, and maybe give a high-five now and then.
Your hands are built for service, not just scrolling! Use them to help others, just like a trusty pillar supports the entire structure.
E) Blood (Sacrificial Fire):
Donate if you can. Your blood is like sacred fire—let it save lives and keep the cosmic balance.
Donate it generously, like offering a life-saving gift to a fellow devotee.
F) Backbone (Temple Trees):
Plant trees like you’re hosting a garden party for Mother Earth.
A greener planet makes for a happier temple! Plant them (or trees in the real world) to help the environment and show you’re serious about sustainability.
G) Brain (Temple Holy Lamp):
Use it wisely. Channel your thoughts into productive and creative endeavors.
No room for procrastination here! Use it wisely for productive and enlightening purposes. No cosmic doodling here!
H) Legs the temple urchava idols (Temple Idols):
Use them to visit holy places and make spiritual pilgrimages and maybe dance a bit.
The journey is as important as the destination, so keep moving! They’re not just for running errands!
in general we must consider our entire body similar to the temple and similar to the dieties, who are showering their grace on their devotees
we must have to properly utilize our body for helping others and the upliftment of the society we live in
Step 6: Mind as the Soul of the Temple
Your mind is the heartbeat of your temple. Keep it pure and positive:
Stay Connected: Maintain a divine connection with the supreme power.
It’s like having an exclusive hotline to the universe. Regular spiritual check-ins keep your energy high and your spirit bright.
Keep your mind pure and powerful. Feed it with positive, uplifting thoughts .
be constantly in touch with that divine supreme power, being in surrender and remembrance of the almighty supreme.
this will help uplift and conserve your mental energy
Avoid Energy Drains: Stay away from people or conversations that feel like a cosmic energy black hole.
Surround yourself with positivity and good vibes.
Stay connected with the divine, keep your energy high
In summary:
Your body and mind are a divine temple, and you’re in charge of maintaining it.
Make it a sanctuary of positivity and grace.
Treat it well, keep it clean, and let your soul shine through every thought, word, and action.
Stay blessed, stay bright, and keep the cosmic vibes rolling! 🌟
