CAPSICUM SPINACH GREEN RICE

INTRODUCTION

we are aware of many different types of recipes, be it pulav or biriyani or any other types

the one that i am going to share is also not something new but i tried it for the first time and it came out really good so thought of sharing it with my friends

so let’s start with the recipe

if you are making rice for 3 to 4 people

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR CAPSICUM SPINACH GREEN RICE

1. spinach 1 Cup

2. capsicum 1 no.

3. green chillies 2 to 3 nos.

4. garlic 5 to 6 cloves

5. onion 1 no.

6. tej patta ( bay leaf)

7. pepper powder 1 teaspoon

8. dhania ( coriander ) powder 1 teaspoon

9. jeera powder 1 teaspoon

10. garam masala ( preferable biriyani masala ) 1 teaspoon

11. ghee

PROCEDURE TO MAKE THE CAPSICUM SPINACH GREEN RICE

1. Take the spinach leaves

2. put it in a pan, add little water and boil it for 5 minutes

3. after it is cooled, put it in a mixer

4. add green chillies, garlic and our extra ingredient green capsicum which helps give a thick consistency and a green color

5. take a pan, put oil, put tej patta , pepper powder, finely chopped onions and saute till translucent

6. add the green puree, dhania powder, jeera powder and let it simmer with closed lid on medium flame

7. after it becomes little thick add the garam masala, salt (little extra) around 3 teaspoon and sugar 1 teaspoon to balance the taste

8. saute for 2 min and turn off the flame

9. in another pan cook the plain biriyani rice accordingly

HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE RICE

1. in a pan, put little green mixture, put little rice on top of the green mixture and mix lightly. spread little ghee and garam masala

2. now again put a spoonful the green mixture Again, put spoonful of rice and lightly mix well followed by spreading ghee and garam masala

3. keep doing this again and again till the mixture is used completely

4. take an iron tava, make it hot and then put it on slow flame

5. place the rice pan on top Of the tava with closed lid and let it cook for 10 mins and close the flame

6. you can even pack it for your tiffin boxes

7. this makes for a healthy and nutritious meal when paired with salad, pickle or raita. to add some crisp element, you can have papad on the side
