AFGHANI CHICKEN RECIPE
let’s see how to make tasty afghani chicken
INTRODUCTION
afghani chicken is a popular chicken recipe
chicken in creamy white sauce tastes delicious with naan or roti as well as with steamed rice
because in ancient days, afghanistan was a trade route between europe and asia, afghan food is heavily impacted by indian, mongolian and persian influences
the look is not that enticing for people who have never tried this recipe as it is white in color and less spicy but i am sure that once you get the taste of this chicken, you will keep wanting to prepare it again and again
this dish requires minimal preparation work unlike indian curries where onion, tomatoes paste is required. just the marination is more than enough
so let’s go straight to the recipe
marination ingredients for the afghani chicken recipe
1. curd .. 1 cup

2. fresh cream … 1 cup

3. kasuri methi powder … 1 tablespoon

4. salt as per taste
5. ginger paste … 1 tablespoon

6. garlic paste … 1 tablespoon

7. pepper powder … 1 tablespoon

mix all the ingredients together well and keep aside
ground masala ingredients for the afghani chicken recipe
green dhania leaves …. one cup

mint …. half cup

onion … 1 nos

green chillies …. 5 to 6 nos.

kaju / cashews …. 10 to 12 approximately

salt as per taste
and the main ingredient chicken …. 1 kilo either in pieces or drumstick pieces

procedure to make the afghani chicken recipe
1. grind all the ground masala ingredients to a fine paste
2. now add this masala to the curd mixture and blend everything well
3. taste and see whether any salt and pepper is to be added
4. put the chicken pieces into the masala mixture and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes
5. take a frying pan,
6. put 4 to 5 tablespoon oil
7. take the chicken pieces from the marination and drain all the masala from the chicken
8. now shallow fry the chicken pieces in the oil for 15 to 20 minutes or until it is cooked and turned brown in color

9. take another pan, put butter,
10. pour this marinated mixture and bring it to boil.
11. now, put the fried chicken pieces into the gravy and again cook for 15 minutes with closed lid
12. open the lid and off the flame
13. garnish it with coriander leaves
tasty and mouthwatering afghani chicken is ready to serve
