BOX BREATHING
let’s talk about box breathing
WHAT IS BOX BREATHING
box breathing is a form of yogic deep breathing
it is also known as sama vritti pranayama also known yogic breathing thus focusing on air breath
also known as square breathing or four square breathing
i have started following this technique whenever i remember it whether i am cooking or watching television or doing my daily chores
this technique of deep breathing helps in being conscious of my breath and deep breathing means my body is getting maximum oxygen and energy
this is not something new, that people are not aware of it but they have not implemented it in their lives
so i thought of sharing with you my insights and helping my friends
do watch my blog as well

METHOD OF DOING THE BOX BREATHING
1. sit upright
2. slowly exhale Through your nose till all oxygen is thrown out from your lungs and be conscious and aware of your breath
3. now breathe in – to the count of 4
4. hold to the count of 4
5. and exhale to the count of 4 again
6. hold to the count of 4
WHAT HAPPENS WITH THIS BREATHING
1. while you count your inhale and exhale breath, you are in a way taking control of your breathing pattern
2. in deep breathing since your breathing is deep , much unlikely with the shallow breath that we take, it helps many people to stay calm in stressful situations
3. if you unconsciously observe your normal breath, you realize you are only breathing till your chest. the inhalations are very short and exhalations follows hastily. this is shallow short breath this brings along anxiety and panic in your lifestyle
4. during stress, we tend to breathe faster, our inhalations and exhalations are in a faster pace and the lungs are not getting proper amount of oxygen to keep our body well oxygenated during stress
but instead if we start including these types of deep breathing in our daily lifestyle whether there’s stress or no stress, we will definitely get rid of our small anxiety problems or immediately reacting to situations
5. here we can make a small change when under heavy stress
6. inhalation is to be through your nostril but exhalation has to be done through your mouth by making a small swish sound
7. this technique will help you reduce your cortisol levels as your body is getting oxygenated and you will get much better clarity of Thought
8. and one more last important thing as i have mentioned in one of my earlier blogs is to put up with a forced smile on your face even if you don’t feel like
